I have a bunch of image files from misnamed scans/faxes I need to fix for our Linux users. It turns out we have a bunch of scans that are PNG files that are labled as *.jpg visa versa. Under Windows this was never an issue as Explorer/Office would just ignore the extension. But under Linux, Eye of GNOME etc end up just refusing to open the file because the contents don't match the extension.

While you're working in safe mode, it may be useful to disable the User account control, especially if the computer is still infected, because the malware will certainly delete the .exe extension again once you reboot in normal mode.
Struggling with adding non php extensions to my finder. Done a long google search but came up blank. Found this but couldn't quite understand: How to use other file extensions in php-cs-fixer, for example .ctp?
Skip the /path/to/project/folderCorrect command = php php-cs-fixer fix --config /path/to/config/file/.php_cs.dist. According to the devs, this could have a drawback in that one may not be able to run the tool with sub paths of the root project.

If you can open the original Outlook Data File, you might be able to recover additional items. The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. Unfortunately, that's not the world we're in with this deal.
