to Groundwork Guatemala update
Greetings from the mission field in Guatemala!
It has been an emotional week here, as we share the burden of loss
with the families and friends of three boys who were murdered last
Sunday. If you haven't read the blog from last week, read that one
first before today's...it will make more sense.

We are thanking God for:
Life! Eternal life with Him forever...the gift of salvation is the
only one that lasts!

Healing! After falling smack on cement stairs last week, my face
(which went through quite a palate of interesting colors) is returning
to a relatively normal state. Although pain is still a bit of an issue
for the bones in my face and my toe which is still pretty swollen,
progress is being made. We are so grateful that it wasn't more serious
(I didn't lose my teeth or break anything else!). I wasn't very
interested in taking my first trip to the hospital in Guatemala!
Amazing how quickly our bodies heal. God is good.

Our third mission team! Hales Corners Lutheran Church sent a team of
six to serve with us last week. We pray that, not only the hearts of
the Guatemalans, but the hearts of each team member will grow in faith
and love because of their experiences. We thank God for their gift of
service.

Our Guatemalan team! Such a passion they have for God's Word and for
telling everyone they see that God loves them and wants to spend
eternity with them.

We give the Lord thanks for continuing to bless this ministry with His
love and provision. We are in awe of His perfect timing!

Special prayer needs:
Our next mission team comes from Trinity, Clinton Township, Michigan,
arriving Saturday. Please pray for their safety as they travel and
spend the week in Guatemala and that their hearts will be ready for
service and hearts will be softened to receive the message.

Future ministry opportunities. There is so much need here. We seek
God's guidance and direction so that we always act according to His
perfect will and plan. Before we feel we can move forward with other
ministry opportunities (scholarships, food distribution or craft
ministry), we must have our Guatemalans sponsored. We continue to pray
for twenty more sponsors for our Guatemalan missionaries.

You are cherished as our family and friends as you lift up this
ministry to the Lord in prayer. Thank you for your words of
encouragement, your gifts of support and most especially, your love!!

Blessings and love,
Ginny
