Prayer request from George of Only a Child ministry

George Leger. For those of you who haven't met George, he operates a
ministry to street boys in Guatemala City, Only a Child ministry. I
see a few of your emails on his "sent to" list, so forgive my
duplication here, but I wanted to get this sent out as quickly as
possible. Thank you for your prayers for one of his boys, Manuel. His
email reads:
To all of our friends and supporters,
One of our youngsters, Manuel, was shot twice this afternoon at
roughly 2:40 PM, just outside our carpentry shop. He had left the shop
to go to the neighborhood store to buy something to drink. There were
no witnesses, but it appears he was assaulted immediately upon exiting
the shop. One of the bullets entered his ride side at the waist. En
route to the hospital, Manuel complained that he had lost feeling in
one of his feet. He is currently in surgery and, at present, we have
no way of knowing what the outcome will be.
I ask that you pray for Manuel's survival and recovery. I also ask
that you pray for our other youngsters, as they are visibly shaken.
Lastly I ask that you include me and all of our staff in your prayers
also...and please ask friends, family and clergy to add us to their
prayers as well, especially Manuel.
