The goal is in sight!!

We’re getting closer!! God has provided almost $400 more per month
since our last update through the sacrificial gifts of His people! The
last $411 for our Guatemalan missionaries will open the door for us to
really move forward with sponsorships for the children of Guatemala
and we are very excited about that. We’ve been looking at the
possibilities for schools in Amatitlán and Guatemala City, as well as
pricing uniforms, shoes and supplies for the kids in Buena Vista. The
school year is almost over here, so we would love to get going on
finding sponsors for our kids so they can start school in January.

Many of you have asked what the remaining monthly need is for our
faithful five, so here are the updated amounts: Julián: $171; Manuel:
$10; Oscar: $9; Ruth: $54; Sandra: $167 = $411/month

If you, your small group, Sunday school or congregation feel called
to become part of the Groundwork Guatemala team and provide for any
portion of the above needs, please contact Rachel
(rac...@groundworkguatemala.org) or send your donation made out to St.
Luke Lutheran Church (Groundwork Guatemala in the memo) and mail it to
713 E. Jasmine St., Mesa AZ 85203. Just include a note saying that
this is for monthly sponsorship and, if you would like to sponsor
someone in particular, indicate that, as well. For convenience, many
of our sponsors are using their bank’s Bill Pay service.

Spread the word: God is at work in Guatemala, touching hearts and
lives with His love and salvation! We’re really looking forward to
serving with the Spirit of Life team from the Wausau Wisconsin area
this coming week, as well as two more teams (Minnesota and LWML
Indiana) in October. Look for more of God’s stories in our ministry
