to Groundwork Guatemala update
Greetings, friends in Christ!
When Oscar came to me to say that his sister, Santa (pronounced "Sahn-
ta"), was going to have surgery on Wednesday, I told him that we would
spread the need for prayer to the hundreds of people in our Groundwork
Guatemala family. Santa has had a cancerous tumor growing in her
abdomen for more than a year. As is common in Guatemala, health care
is minimal and often inept. Her doctor would find one excuse after
another to delay surgery to remove the growth, reaping the benefits of
more and more visits to his office. This went on for the past fourteen
months until we finally convinced her to go to another doctor to get a
second opinion. The new doctor looked at her tests and said there was
no reason to delay and they must do the surgery right away. Thank God!
So, today is the day. Santa's surgery is at 6 PM. I know that Oscar,
Ody and Lucy, along with Santa's daughter, Amanda, would be so
grateful for your prayers for their sister.
The Body of Christ, joining voices in prayer to our Sovereign
Lord...amazing things can happen.
Much love in His name,
Ginny
