i have some goodies left over from the GR8 conference i could give
away: 1 book (Programming Groovy), 1 copy of the GroovyMag sampler,
and some discounts from O'Reilly. If we don't meet this month, I'll
bring what I have remaining to the next meeting.

Eric and I were discussing that we'd both like a recap of GR8 where
people discussed their favorite sessions and what they learned from
them. That would benefit people (like me) that couldn't make it and
also those that wished they could be in two places at once.

To make that a successful discussion, we just need people that were at
GR8 to show up on Tuesday.

What say ye? Are others interested in an open discussion on GR8 sessions?

Agreed. I'm a total newbie to Groovy, but that sounds GR8 (sorry - couldn't resist). I'd be happy to bring some food or drinks if that's a fair trade for me just listening.

Not sure if I can make it...would like to.

Anyway, I wrote up this 'trip report' for my co-workers. I'm a c++ guy
and had a GR8 time too.

I want to thank everyone that was at the GUM meeting last night. It was gr8 (I just cannot help it) getting such positive feedback and constructive ideas. Some things that seemed a bit nebulous to me, if not us, came into sharper focus. I was especially heartened by the fact that so many want to expand the adoption of GR8 technologies, something that is fundamental goal of the conference, and tossed out useful suggestions. Thanks, again!

Also, thanks Dwight for the fantastic write-up on your blog. :-)
