I updated the metaprogramming pecha kucha tonight. I swear, I really
am going to record this thing as long as I don't run out of Leinies.
Does anyone have any ideas on hosting the .swf file? I could always
just attach it to the GUM wiki page as a file and we could reddit/
dzone it direct from there. That works fine for me.

Click on http://groups.google.com/group/groovymn/web/metaprogramming-pecha-kucha-wip
- or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't
work.

My snowball is in a big metal crate on its way to NC right now. Sorry!

I couldn't get the Google Groups wiki to properly display a flash
video, nor could I get blogspot to do it.

I know it's not pretty, but the Pecha Kucha is hosted here for now:

Is this cool with everyone that worked on it? Does anyone think we
should pick a faster site host before sending the link off to reddit/
dzone/groovy mailing list? Does anyone want to submit a new style
sheet?!?

I'm going to be so glad to be done with this thing. Ugh.

Hamlet,
Great job! Posting it where you have it is cool by me. My only suggestion I guess would be for us to try and use the stylesheet from the homepage at the GUM site - http://www.groovy.mn/

I'm guessing you won't have issues with your hosting provider, but if we are worried about the bandwidth, you could use Amazon S3 for the video or I'm pretty certain there are free trial conversation programs to convert SWF -> AVI/MPEG, which then should allow you to upload it to Blogspot or YouTube.

Just a some suggestions, I'm cool releasing it as is though.

Thanks Hamlet and everyone for all of your work on completing this. It came out great!

Yeah, I'll do that. Good point. Then the gum wiki page will work fine.

Alright, I'm calling the Metaprogramming Pecha Kucha done!

It is posted here...
http://groups.google.com/group/groovymn/web/metaprogramming-pecha-kucha-wip

HOWEVER... google groups wiki pages are lame and won't let me embed a
youtube video. So there is just a big link saying "Open this here".

This is good enough for me.

Unless anyone has any objections, I'm going to submit this to the
usual social bookmarking sites tomorrow morning (reddit, dzone,
digg, ???). Not only can we game the system by all agreeing to upvote,
we can also leave senseless "your mom" style comments en masse.

Let the up votes begin:

I sent it to aboutgroovy and groovyblogs.org also.

Can someone on the groovy mailing list post a message?

And the DZone link is here:
http://www.dzone.com/links/metaprogramming_in_groovy_pecha_kucha.html

Clicking the Up arrow at the link will help it rise in popularity.
