To me this is exciting news: Google's app engine now supports Java (in Beta TM, of course)

This means that you can now use other languages which are supported by the JVM in the app engine environment.

and gae grails support via a grails plugin works too, except for GORM
- this is so exciting. for the first time, you can have both
scalability and ease of development all in one package.
