A couple of days ago I was struggling getting my player to switch nicely between the different levels on the map I had created. The player/frame was skipping the levels going from 1 and directly to 4.
After some great help here on the forum, I fixed the skipping of the player by using the action: -Move mouse cursor when touching screen: Yes-
The strange thing now is when the level starts, the player is constantly jumping as the button for jumping is on the same spot as the choose level button from the map. Is there a way to turn off or make the cursor appear on another place before or after the level has started?
I tried to toggle the -move mouse cursor when touching screen: No- (thinking the cursor would kind of disappear or be inactive) but it didnt help. Does someone here have any idea how I could solve this?
Thanks for taking the time to try and help me out.
To the map scene I tried to add the -a touch has started- but the result is the same. The player is constantly jumping when the level starts. Ive tried with/without the action -move mouse cursor when touching screen- ,on the level scene. Both states: yes and no. The result is still the same. Im a bit lost here. I thought that either of the actions of -touch started and -touch ended would have done the trick. Any other ideas of how I can resolve this?
Thanks for all help.
Don't know much that I can give at the moment but all I really know is that if i press a key i cannot move my mouse. If its an arrow key, I can move it only.
Model: Sony Vaio: VGN-FW560F
I guess its some software Sony implemented that isn't supported with linux(?)
For touchpads, this is a feature enabled by default in libinput, so you don't accidentally move your mouse while typing.
You might be able to change this behavior using xinput (assuming you are using Xorg):
I would like if I move one finger on the trackpad that the mouse cursor moves, and if possible that I could scroll content by the use the trackpad in some way. Now I basically have to go to the scrollbar to click it or use the arrow keys.
Also since this happened out of the blue I suppose it is because of some awful idiotic shortcut to screw up your settings that MS has enabled, how do I remove this shortcut and hopefully the ability to every call that shortcut again in the future.
I cannot move any items in Illustrator using the mouse to drag the items, I can only move them using the arrow keys. Even if I open up a new document and place in a new object, I cannot open it, so it is not a problem specific to my file. None of my objects are locked. I do not have any hidden dialouges. I've already tried restarting Illustrator, resetting my preferences, etc. None of it works.
! For some reason after I closed out of Photoshop, I could move objects again. Not sure what the issue was since there were no dialouge's open in Photoshop. but all is well. Thank you for your assitance.
Found the answer on Youtube ... you have to click on the path of the object ... not the bounding box ... then you can move the object with the mouse ... was driving me crazy just using arrow keys! (I am using a mac btw..)
Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
some time ago started problems when one wants to use Photoshop and Illustrator together. After some time some functionality in one of them is limited (not always, just happens). I have today the same as above - there was impossible to move any object on artwork, AI was just beeping, restart of Illustrator didn't help, only quiting Photoshop is solving the problem. Both are last versions with all updates (o2 2021) it is starting to happen after some time of work - sytem windows 10. Similar things happens with photoshop - you have to quit illustrator to get control back. As You see problems is still happening.
Hello, I'm walking through the MoveIt quickstart tutorial and have launched Rviz. However, when the Rviz GUI is running, if my mouse moves, the environment rotates with the movement. I know this isn't the default behavior in Rviz, and I don't really know why this is occurring. I've checked that sticky keys, slow keys, and bounce keys are all off. I've also restarting Rviz two times, but the same issue occurs.
In the middle of the Rviz grid, there's a small blue disk. If I click anywhere on the screen, the disk goes away. However, if I move the mouse, the disk reappears. I'd post an image, but I don't have enough points.
Was working a few days ago last time I went into the bios. I'm pretty sure it's being registered, but I can't move the cursor, when I try to move the cursor it just jitters in place, if that makes sense.
Well, its kinda impossible to be a BIOS driver issue because a BIOS doesn't have any drivers at all. (not only that BIOS's have never ever in the history of history supported mouse input, you need to have a UEFI to support that, but Ill assume you misspoke)
Sometimes its just that the UEFI doesn't support the mouse. Like someone said before updating the UEFI can often add several mouse profiles to BIOS so it can natively support it. Also, make sure your mouse doesn't have a built in ROM (a example of a mouse that does is the Logitech G600: -us/product/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse )because you might have enabled this ROM and have some kind of mouse acceleration that the UEFI of the motherboard doesn't support.
when I take the headset of, the mouse works. I have tried WIndows + y/z key but it doesn't work. I have to quit to desktop, and start Windows Mixed Reality, and SteamVR new. Anyone knows a solution to this problem?
When you put your headset, and without removing it press windows+Y , make sure your windows key is not in game mode (some keyboards allow to pause this key) then hit LAlt+enter ro enter full screen mode, and make sure you have the VR mouse enabled in DCS.
The move code was the cleanest I could find (see credits in code) and avoids spawning an extra TransformNode. I extend the regular Babylon keyboard plugin (src) so that I only have to take care of the checkInputs() method. See also docs.
I've just added another monitor as I'm starting 'Match Betting' and it saves a lot of time. My main screen wouldn't operate when I connected up the second monitor because the first screen was using an HDMI cable and the second screen was using a 'VGA' cable. It worked after I swapped the cables over. But now my mouse will only go from the main screen right to the second screen. Which is a bit confusing the main screen is in front of me (or just a little to the right.
When moved to an iPad, the pointer becomes a dot representing the tip of your finger. Use your mouse or trackpad to click or click and hold, just as you would use your finger to touch or touch and hold.
I jast need a tool or way to move my cursor move continuously since, if cursor stop moving more than 5 min, it will be tracked as Ideal time.. so even when Am not in-front of laptop, the mouse should move.
If you use an optical mouse you can simply put a watch under your mouse (the analog ones, no digital watches) and the hands of the watch will simulate a mouse movement.

I'm a fan of trust in general. I see this post as a reaction to a poor management strategy of assuming that mouse movement means working, so if you get up to use the restroom or grab a sandwich, you are docked. I definitely think that there should be accountability, but perhaps software that tracks mouse movement is a little too overbearing. How about validating the results of your work, ensuring that you wrote whatever you were supposed to write or whatever the key performance indicators are for your job? Monitoring people every minute to make sure they are on task is going to result in a lot of effort made to look busy, and likely little effort expended in actually producing a quality product, or making customers happy... or whatever the job is actually supposed to accomplish. Better, less-invasive measurement of results I think is the key here.
If your employer uses a remote screen control (which I suppose it does), you will be punished for trying to trick them using a mouse-moving tool. As per your original request, just tape your smartphone to your mouse and let it vibrate every minute or so. It will trigger the moving sensor physically (no additional software is required). Some mouse tracking software also counts the mileage, however. If that is your case, the above trick won't help.
