Dean Windemuller's Biography:
Dean Windemuller is a singer/songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist who
was born and raised in West Michigan . His diverse musical studies
include time spent in Chicago , New York City and India . His vision
is to incorporate his experience with jazz, Irish traditional, Western
classical and Indian classical music within the singer/songwriter
framework that he grew up with.
Noteworthy guitarists that Dean has studied with include John
Abercrombie (jazz), Bobby Broom (jazz), Dennis Cahill (Irish
traditional) and Denis Azabagic (classical).
In the fall of 2006 Dean formed Open Land (with a rotating cast of
bassists and drummers) and joined a tango group called Tango Folias
(
grtango.org) which performs for tango social dances. Both groups are
currently performing throughout the Midwest .
Dean writes thoughtful and well-crafted tunes and his favorite
musicians are Kelly Joe Phelps, Paul Simon, Bruce Cockburn, and
Branford Marsalis.

Musical Arts for Justice in the Community (MAJIC) is a ministry of
Bethlehem Church that will present a 2007-2008 concert series
featuring local and regional musicians who will play public concerts
to raise money for social justice organizations throughout the greater
Grand Rapids area.
Performances will take place the second Friday of every month in the
Bethlehem Church Sanctuary located at 250 Commerce 49503 in downtown
Grand Rapids. Concerts are October 12, 2007 through May 9, 2008 making
for 8 different performances. The performances will begin at 7:00PM.
Concerts are Free with a $10 Suggested Donation, 100% of the concert
donation
from the 2007-2008 Series will be donated to The Grand Rapids
Coalition to End Homelessness. Parking is available in the lot below
the church and across the street from the church.
