Μόνο για forthnet είναι. Η vivodi δεν έχει peering μέσω ΑΙΧ με
forthnet. Είναι ένας εύκολος τρόπος, αν έχεις forthnet, να δεις πόσο
σκατά είναι το DSLAM σου.

Σχετικό είναι αυτό.
Σκοπός είναι να τεστάρεις την διαδρομή DSLAM -> BBRAS Forthnet και όχι
την DSLAM -> BBRAS οποιουδήποτε ISP -> AIX -> Forthnet. Ειδικά αν
αυτός ο ISP δεν έχει διασύνδεση με το AIX.

"Είναι ένας εύκολος τρόπος" είπα. Από το να μετράς πακέτα. Και με ένα
απλό ping στο BBRAS σου μπορείς να βγάλεις πολύ χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα.
Ένα καλό ping (της τάξεως των 20-25ms που εγώ για την διαδρομή Λάρισα
-> BBRAS Θεσσαλονίκης) δείχνει ότι δεν υπάρχει ιδιαίτερο πρόβλημα.

Η διαδρομή περιέχει όλο το δίκτυο ATM του ΟΤΕ μέχρι το σημείο που
τερματίζουν τα atm πακέτα, στον BBRAS της Forthnet. Η σύνδεση της
Forthnet με τον ΟΤΕ δεν παίζει ουσιαστικό ρόλο γιατί είναι υπεραρκετή.
Tουλαχίστον Θεσσαλονίκη από ότι ξέρω είναι OC3 (155Mbps). Με την
Tellas είχε προκύψει κάποτε ένα τέτοιο πρόβλημα στην Αθήνα, αλλά αυτό
είχε ως αποτέλεσμα να σέρνεται όλη η νότια Ελλάδα που είχε Tellas.

Συνήθως το bottleneck δημιουργείται πάντα στη σύνδεση DSLAM με το
τοπικό ATΜ δίκτυο του ΟΤΕ. Δηλαδή σε εμένα π.χ. στη σύνδεση DSLAM μου
-> ATM δίκτυο Λάρισας. Από εκεί και πέρα οι κεντρικές γραμμές του ΟΤΕ
που πάνε Θεσσαλονίκη, Αθήνα κ.τ.λ. έχουν τεράστιες χωρητικότητες και
δεν υπάρχει πρόβλημα. Για αυτό και σε ίδιες περιοχές ανάλογα με το
DSLAM οι μισοί σέρνονται και οι άλλοι πάνε σφαίρα.

Πάντα η ίδια *αρχική* σελίδα ήταν, με ξεχωριστούς συνδέσμους για
Αθήνα/Θεσσαλονίκη.
