Dear friends,

Every CA and Tax Advisors may get confused on own, why we store login creditials and DSC of Client. Can we use clients logins and passwords. The IP addresses are reflected on returns and it proves that it is transmitted to Tax Authorities. It proves that client must have authorised you. If we are authorised, it may save us from various penal provisions under Information Technolgy Act.
Considering all this, We (CA Girish Kulkarni and CA Abhishek Nagori both) have prepared a Draft format of Letter of Authority to be obtained from client for filing various Tax Laws and Companies Act etc You may suitable change and request your to give feedback as a reply to this mail.
Attached is draft format of Letter of Authority, to be obtained from clients for safety of professionals.
