Beautiful People & Colin,

And so our proverbial Suez Crisis season begins. Though the end of our reign of terror over clique league is nigh, we still have two months to convey to all of the WAFC D1 newcomers our very own Pax Britannica: you can't lose if you don't care.

Our schedule is now out, please RSVP for all upcoming games

As our try-hard members know, next weekend (10/25) is a bye because of regionals. I know all of your hard work, practice, and disregard for the outside world during club season is solely for the benefit of G&G - so I guess thanks for your sacrifice.

This weekend (9/18) we have a bye because of a frisbee wedding that involves G&G members. Gross.

Our first game will be October 2nd at 12 @the Polo Fields. PLEASE RSVP.

If you are not vaccinated you cannot play. I'm assuming everyone here is vaccinated because we don't allow republicans/ghouls/fascists on our team. If you have a medical issue and cannot be vaccinated because of that, please email me directly. At our first game we will have to sign a waiver confirming this, more to come.

That was a very long email, so for the first and last time this season I will apologize to the team. I'm sorry. I will send another email leading up to the game, so look out for that I guess.

tl;dr Our first game will be October 2nd at 12 @the Polo Fields. PLEASE RSVP.

xoxo,
Radio

Thanks, Brian. It's actually easier for Mike if we all just email the group.

I am mostly curious about Rex's expected attendance.

He will certainly make an appearance! Hope you like bat-sized ears, because apparently those keep growing with him.

Hello Bootleg Frisbee Team,

Do we have enough people to play this weekend? I think we have like four or five people and I will say definitively that I won't play without subs. Just FYI, there is a website (www.wafc.org, I think) where you can mark your attendance for this game and future games.

The games are at 12 and 2 on the Polo Fields. Don't let the name fool you into thinking you'll be getting a fancy treat among the landed aristocracy; these are bumpy, tourist-infested fields where we will do battle (with SOTG, of course) with some other teams whose names we don't know, whose players we don't care about, and whose calls we will roll our eyes at.

So, let's load up on yoghurt and throw firsbees for the first time in two years.

Captain Colin

PS - I know I don't need to say this, but I feel like I should say this so: Please be vaccinated, don't come to the game if you have any reason to think you might have either COVID or tryharditis, and reach out to me or Mike if you have any questions/concerns about any of this.

Alright, all of you strike a hard bargain. Did you reply-all with bad questions like "what's our team color?" or "should I bring a frisbee?" No, you didn't, and I respect that. Did you RSVP to play frisbee and drink a beer with your friends on a beautiful fall day on the iconic polo fields with views of the Washington Monument? Also no.

With six people for the first game and four for the second, I kind of regret having to bag the games. Now, I know that I'm a captain and with that awesome power comes very serious responsibilities, and let me tell you that heavy is the crown. So I'll email the other captains to tell them that we and they will have to find some way to enjoy this glorious weekend besides doing the go-to drill.

This gives us time to recover from regionals, stock up on yoghurt, and do the go-to drill. So, let's all do our part to prepare for next week when we also have games at 12 and 2 at the Polo fields, so put that on your calendar.

Captain Colin
