Dog Beach

Thanks everyone who bought the book - you're awesome. The rest of you can suck it, jk honestly my expectations were non-existent, so it's cool.

In other news - I went to the Matapeake Dog Beach (over on Kent Island) the other day and Remy and I had a blast! I highly recommend it as a day trip to you dogo people (I also recommend you stop off at the Stevensville Crab shake for their ahi tuna special and/or crab cakes - pro tip call ahead)  

All the sail boats on the bay reminded me of the time Iris kicked me off her boyfriends sail boat and made me paddle my way to shore in a $10 target inflatable canoe, a paddle made of a frisbee duct taped to a broom handle -- with her nineteen year old cousin so we could pick up an Uber in the middle of the woods. That's also the last time I'll ever doubt the magical mystery that is Iris.

Heather!  I will buy your book - sorry for being a deadbeat and not doing it yet.  

If I recall, I was the one that valiantly engineered the boating system and paddled you two to the edge of the forest with the simple instructions of walking 500 to 750 paces due north into the dark until you saw headlights or a road, in which case you should take a left.  I flipped the boat only once and before you even got on.  I still have not spoken to my cousin since that night.

Iris  -- You didn't flip the "boat" (is a $10 Target raft a boat"). Technically that was your cousin when he tried to squeeze in behind you and me and we all flipped over. That's why he swam, although tbh I could have done without his complaining about the jellyfish. You did help paddle me to shore which was really appreciated - because of the aforementioned jellyfish. I thought your BF engineered the paddle system- happy to be corrected - especially since I totally heard him tell you to tell me to suck it up and just sleep on the boat.  I also forgot to thank Whitney for telling me to trust that "Iris will figure it out - you just have to wait." and for agreeing to take back all my stuff that didn't fit in the dry bag. Whit's a good egg.
