Game Saturday

Hi Everybody,

We had mixed success in the blistering heat this past weekend. Though we trashed the first scrub team we played, we lost many a number to brunch plans, and suffered a narrow shortage of 15 points playing savage against another less scrub team. Thanks for all the folks who showed up and brought beer, it was a fun start to the season!

This weekend we have one game against another team at Brooke Lee Middle School at 12. Please mark your attendance on the WAFC site. 

Due to our fierce ambition and controlling natures, Colin and I aren't allowed to captain the same games. That means I won't be there this weekend, but it doesn't mean I don't love y'all. Think of us as your deadbeat dads that only get weekend custody, but it's every other weekend because we're both deadbeats. The analogy doesn't roll off the tongue, but the point is that it's for the good of the team and it isn't your fault.

There's been some confusion over my very shitty wording of the second game results. We did not lose 15-0. I was trying to articulate that we fell short of getting 15 points, because you can't lose if you don't care. The final score was 15-13, other team. My apologies for the mix-up, I'm bad at words but trying to stay core to our (lack of) values. 

The important thing is that every single new team member brought beer, and had the decency to not admit they bought a frisbee.

Kate - as a matter of fact it is! Pretty much every field in MD is dog friendly since they never send people to check.

Also, great prompt for everyone to please mark your attendance for this week's game! Remember to bring a dark and light, some beer, and a bad attitude!
