Fellow G&Gers,

Our time is nigh. It's the year of Y & Z. 

After 17 seasons of being moderately sober and moderately good at ultimate, we've reached our final year. A storied team, we stand on the extremely injured shoulders of so many giants who have come before. We are the last of our kind, a team of people who looks at their opponents and ask the important questions like, "why the fuck are we here" and, "why do all these people try so fucking hard, it's not even a sport?"

Now that I've stroked the collective ego enough, it's been a shit year and for some reason Colin and I miss y'all. Delta/Lambda permitting, this fall will be our penultimate (ayyoo a pun, fuck you/us) season - so please sign up. 

Our team name this year is Yuengling & Yogurt. Yes, we know yuengling is a shit right wing company so we will not be purchasing them - but once Colin and I realized Jager wasn't spelled with a "Y" we were kinda in a corner. 

So sign up for one final year of ultimate with us and we will bbq, drink, and chill the fall away.

I'll make it down for a final game this season. Will probably just sit on the sidelines and teach my kids how to heckle our opponents.

Sure, while I'm sure we all have many better things to do, maybe to break us out of this endlessly repeating covid cycle we have to go back to go forwards. I.e. does anybody have a good source for limearitas?

Thank you for getting this ball rolling, Mike. I assume everyone has been doing the off-season workouts, lifting, and doing their throwing drills in anticipation of this day, which may or may not be coming soon. 

Will, we will have you. And we will have any of the rest of this lot who wants to play or is at least willing to drink outside with cleats on. 

If we can make it through this season we can make it to our final season, which will surely feature Zima. Jorve, you must have drank that in the early 2000s, right? 

Remember the team motto and hold it close to your hearts: If you don't care, you can never lose.

While we appreciate freeloaders, a certain experience with an oversized check years ago put us  under the watchful eye of the WAFC bourgeoisie ruling class. 

We need 16 registered (and paying) players to field a team this year. If you absolute swine make me resort to personalized texts…hoo boy.

All we need is one more person to sign up! If Kate can bounce back from a birth and Brian from the suburbs - what’s your excuse?!?

For our carrot, think of nimbus our fluffy cloud of a mascot. So many doggo pets to be had. 

Alternatively, our favorite ginger Graham could finish checking out on his registration and we’d be good! LOOKING AT YOU GRAHAM!!!

Ughhhhhhh.  Second BMarshs comment, and requesting fields in Virginia so the drive is closer to 9.5 than 10 hours. Paying back for all the seasons I skipped doing so over the years.  Hope there are some free loaders out there who enjoy free loading as much as I do.

And with that (and Graham finally paying) we officially are ready for the Yuengling & Yogurt penultimate season.
