Councilmen rebut report on Skykomish

"The second is the county's critical-areas ordinance, a set of rules
regulating development on ecologically sensitive spots such as
wetlands, creeks and slopes."

Imagine that an entirely brand new set of regulations to be ignored,
by those who abused and complained about the older overly strict
regulations already in place.

We even have officials in power, with select groups of contributors
purposely ignoring State and County wetlands and sensitive area
regulations on properties they own of course while pointing out and
complaining about existing regulations being overly strict.

When caught breaking existing regulations, they flip 180º and use
the "Loophole" defense in condoning their actions.
The real problem is if your not part of the County's elite clique,
most homeowners and builders would be brought before a judge for
filling in wetlands or the weekend clear cutting of hillside trees,
like the entire stand, over a ¼ mile easy along the East side of HWY -
9 North near Golds Gym in Frontier Village. The hillside damage and a
token tree or two left behind, is regulated just fine if enforced.

The last thing needed are new loophole riddled regulations drawn up
by the attorneys for the MBA and developers. We need unbiased
enforcement of "The overly strict regulations" already in place.
