It seems the city council/city planners/oand owners all seem to have
short term goals ... make money and short sheet the city with high
density growth, impacted utilities, unplanned streets, wetlands
damage....

ON a good note the city of Monroe is having a city wide garage sale
next weekend april 9-10 .

This could be a good idea for the city of Sultan to have as well ---a
city wide garage sale weekend this summer

Wetlands damage? got a source to cite on that one? High density growth?
compared to where? Give me something new to work with here...

JW:

Can we cite a source for "damage" to wetlands? Just for starters, we
recommend that you click in our LID 97-1 pages which contains two
years' worth of correspondence between the City of Sultan and various
government agencies (Fish & Wildlife, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers,
State Dept. of Ecology, et al.). Based on statements made in recent
council meetings by Sultan's Public Works Director Connie Dunn, the
compensatory wetland mitigation issue is still ongoing, and ("DOE would
[have a fit, or words to that effect] if they knew what was going on.")

Other wetland and pond "damage" -- "destruction," actually, is a more
appropriate descriptor -- can be cited in the development of the
following communities: Miller Farm (Pleasantview), Eagle Ridge and
Willow Run.

What is far more egregious, however, is the continuing lack of
oversight by the City in passing new development applications as
"complete" and "approved" to the Hearing Examiner, when clearly there
exist blatent violations and misinterpretations of the SMC.

If you are not angered by these events, then you simply do not
understand the long-term relationship between these violations and the
negative effects they have on taxpayers' wallets in the form of the
capital investment required to install future infrastructure through
which violations and negative impacts require to be addressed.

Now I would like to ask YOU a question: What is your definition of
"wetland" and "damage"?

housings attempt up off sultan basin road impacting wagleys creek etc
etc on and on and individual home owners no names who violate the
