pin hopes on bonds[/url]
Sorry wrong heading, it should read:
"Developers pin hopes that voters pay their infrastructure needs!"
The bulk of this $171 million dollar monster will raise taxes by a *
third!* Marysville could buy a MLBB Baseball team, even the Mariners,
with those numbers!
It's no longer about our children's educational needs but more show and
tell for the GMA, in the needless expanding of it's borders for
thousands of new homes, then blaming it on "Growth"
Opening up all that land for postage stamped sized lots, kill's ANY and
ALL benefits from any new schools.
Plus, mention is avoided as to who will pay the costs of all the new
roads and services that will be needed above and beyond the $171
million?
It's not hard to guess who WON'T be paying their fare share, and the
taxpayers will be voting again real soon, being asked to pick up
developments infrastructure costs, blaming it on the "Growth." Our kids
can't get to school on time! Ect.
By Marysville expanding it's UGA for development only, and plastering
the landscape with 4,800 to 5,200 sq. foot postage stamp sized building
lot's, will do very little if anything at all in benefiting our
children's educational needs. Those portables will still be used and *
needed * until every dollar possible is extracted by developers.
Long before the thousands of newly planed mini lots go in and the cute
Tonka homes are partially finished, each and every portable will remain
in use due to the * NEW * but inadequate school system.
Building lots continue to get smaller, like the homes near the old
Hewlett Packard plant and our children will be forced to live out their
lives in these shoe-boxes, paying much more in taxes then their parents
did. Many were taxed or forced off the land, due to the audacity of
owning more then an acre.
Can you picture the mess if NASCAR had gone in?
A second MLBB baseball team sized bond would be needed just to cover
the infrastructure costs.
Especially if any of the May races were held this past weekend? I don't
recall seeing any Hydroplane Special's?
