Hi all,
I just ran a test build of grit on my collegue's shiny new Nexus 5 phone running android 4.4. As you can see from the screenshots the Khmer webfont works. The sizes are off because of the phone's very high resolution screen but it definitely works.

So our next question is how feasible is it to have all Grit tablets run 4.4?

Just for reference, here are the wins we get if we can use webfonts:

1. the size of the APK file reduces dramatically. Currently it is 32 MB but most of that is the images we are using for text.
2. It will be easier to make grit look good at different screen sizes.

cheers

That's good news!

Google announced Kitkat for Nexus 7, but no joy yet on my device.
