My father warned me,
it's easier
to write your poetry
than it is to live it
And thus easier to talk about love
than it is to give it
But there is no room
for part-time activist
or the passionless
Social action must lie
within the way we live our lives

What are you here to do?

Who you are is mainly dependent upon two things: the things you say to
others (image) and the things that you say to yourself (identity). By
some strange universal algorithm we become who we say we are.

Whenever we don't do what we say we will, it is because of a conflict
between the things we say to others and the things we say to
ourselves. The first step to prevent lying, eliminating hypocrisy and
avoiding talk without action, is being honest and up front with
yourself through positive & constructive self-talk.

The world we live in is a reflection of its individuals. All
revolutions must begin with the people. And all of the people must
begin with themselves.

What are you here to do? Are you here to make the world a better
place? Are you here to take some burden off of someone less fortunate
than you? Are you here to break a record and create new standards of
excellence?

Well, claim it.

Never doubt who you are and the things you can do. Don't let another
man tell you otherwise. Don't let your own conscience defeat you.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can
change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret
Mead
