When we examine the things we were told in childhood, the things we
taught ourselves as an adolescent and the things we affirm as adults,
we have to decide which ideas are helping us grow and which are
leading us astray.
The most important agreements we make are regarding love.
Love determine what wakes us up in the morning and what pushes us
through the day; how hard we work and what work we enjoy; how often we
connect with our spirit and how readily we see God in other people.
Love determines who we are, and whether we enjoy our own reflection.
At times, expressing love is a risk. It is the risk, which gives our
life meaning and vitality. The first risk, is the step towards self-
love and the outward expression of your love towards yourself. Those
who do not take this risk cannot love what they do, cannot express
their love for those around them and cannot surpass the surface of
intimacy.
Do not be afraid of the risk of intimacy, to see yourself in another.
Do not be afraid of your own love.
Do not be afraid of who you really are: a vulnerably strong vessel
that needs to be filled with love.
Love,
Lhea
"Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the
risk to be alive.. the risk to be alive and express what we really
are." -- Don Miguel Ruiz
