All entitlements, as they're called, for both the Sims 3 base game and for expansion and stuff packs should now be distributed, and all players should be able to download the 64-bit version of all their owned content.
Specifically say that you play on a Mac and that you would like the entitlements for the 64-bit versions of your missing content added to your account. If the first support rep doesn't understand, says they can't help, or claims this is not an issue, feel free to ask that this be escalated.
@Trojcka @Khross30 @Arn0ldMilissen and @admitruchina2 Please see the above post. If the support rep you're speaking with isn't being helpful, you can reference this thread, both the first post and the marked solution. And you're well within your rights to request that your issue be escalated to a manager.
@Arn0ldMilissen I'm sorry you had such trouble with the support rep. Maybe the next one would be better? (Hopefully?) It's unfortunate, but many support reps don't have the newest information and don't look for answers past the ones they already know.
I have just downloaded Sims 3 64 Bit & Metal (which im very excited to play) however once downloaded I have noticed a handful of my expansion packs and stuff packs aren't downloading and when I try to download separately they show the error message Error: 327682:0. They're showing as unlocked so I can't repurchase them. Does anyone know if some of the packs haven't been updated to 64bit yet or if there is a fix for this?
@FrancescaaB I've merged your post with the master thread on this issue. As stated in the first post, all packs should now be showing in the 64-bit version of Sims 3 as well. Since that's not the case for you, you'll need to contact EA customer support and ask specifically that the entitlements for the 64-bit versions of your packs be added to your account.
Just in case, please also make sure you don't have any filters enabled in your Origin game library that might be hiding the 64-bit version. The filter menu can be opened by clicking Filters in the upper right corner of the game library window.
I recently purchased the sims 3 generations and world adventures bundle through origin. When I go to my game library and scroll through extra content it says that its unlocked but there's no way for me to actually download the game. I run on MacOS Catalina and use the 64 bit version of the game.
The window that you can open to see the progress of the download, does not show any data coming in. ("0MB/___MB). Then when it gives up, I get a window that says "Download server is not responding." I also have several notifications (for all the current expansion and stuff packs) that say "Download failed." It is the same if I try to download SimCity or Sims 3.
Every time I think I'll play the SIMS I have trouble with updating Origin and the game. What's the point, by the time I've made it work I don't have time to play it anymore! I was going to buy the Get to Work expansion pack today but I've now decided I'm not going to bother!!
Ok so I had this issue too, it would not download at all and kept saying update failed but I managed to fix it. I found the problem to be the Sims 4 was classed as open in my task manager so I forced closed it (just the sims 4, not origin) and tried updating again and it worked.
im having the same problem with my sims4 this been going on for over 3weeks now my sims4 still wont update i deleted the game and reinstall it but it still does'nt work ): all its giving me is "the game you are trying to load was saved to a newer version of the sims4"
Hi, I was wondering if you could fix my game as well. I'm on the Mac Origin Client and when I go to my game library, the Sims 4 game appears faded to be slightly desaturated and light. When I open the details of the game, it shows no play button. I have tried rebooting my MacBook, quitting and restarting Origin, and signing in and out of my EA account. I will link an image of what the game details screen and Sims 4 icon look like. I also have not launched the game at all - it hasn't been working since I downloaded Origin. Thank you!
I have downloaded Origin for Mac through thesims4.com, but the same thing is still happening. It automatically downloaded the Steam version of the game onto Origin and I can't find how to delete it or how to download a Mac version.
Hi, I was having a very similar problem, although I have never been able to open the game. It seems that it has downloaded the Steam version and I am on MacBook. I used the Origin reset tool and removed the Sims 4 from the game library of my Steam account, but it was still in My Game Library and I still couldn't open it/was the Steam version when I reopened Origin. I tried right-clicking to uninstall, but the option didn't show up in the drop-down menu.

I looked in the game store in Origin, but the only option was to view the game in My Game Library. I tried right-clicking on the game icon, too, but the uninstall option does not show up in the drop-down menu.
Soo during lockdown I decided to kill time by installing Sims 3 since I have a love hate relationship with sims 4. All is working fine until yesterday it just stopped working. It takes me back to the origin screen after pressing the play button.
EA live chat are useless right now. 4 times I've contacted them and they keep promising it's fixed with all there solutions but it's not. My packs are legit, my mom paid full price for them nearly 10 years ago. Help...PLEASE.
I got it working FINALLY! After you mentioned about the graphics card driver I remembered the previous owner of my computer probably didn't update it and I've only had the computer about a week or so. So i googled if there was an update and there was. I'm still baffled as to why Sims 4 was running smoothly whilst I was trying to fix Sims 3 and also what could of started it all. The only thing I did was download my bought store content, download itunes and did an update on the computer itself.
@CraziiBizza97 Some people get this issue resolved, yes. Can you describe exactly what's happening on your computer? There are a couple different issues that look similar. Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
Edit: I've moved your other post, and my reply, to your new thread, which I moved to the Sims 3 PC tech section. A dxdiag would still be helpful. And please let me know whether pressing the Play button in Origin opens the launcher, and pressing Play in the launcher takes you back to Origin; or whether pressing Play in Origin never brings up the launcher in the first place.
I load origin up, press Sims 3 and it takes me to the game launcher, I press play and within 5/10 seconds it takes me back to origin. I've also looked in my EA Sims 3 folder in documents and there seems to be loads of unusual documents there starting with "xcpt BRIPC 20-04-19 00.21.33"
@CraziiBizza97 Your graphics card driver is crashing whenever you try to open the game. But there are several other issues with your system: the dxdiag itself crashed twice while you ran it, which should never happen. Please start by running a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files. Here's how:
Restart your computer, then manually run any pending Windows updates. Hit Windows key-i, choose Updates & Security, and click the button to check for updates. If there are a number pending, it may take a few tries, with restarts in between, to run them all.
Hi, I bought sims4 on steam but want to play on Mac, how can I access this game through origin? I've played it before and it was working but I cannot figure out how to get it to work now. I bought the deluxe version so I don't want to lose my bundles but even when I did try to get the sims4 regular one it says I already own a better version? what do I do? I appreciate any help!!
This happened to me too. The Steam version of Sims 4 isn't compatible with Mac. The solution is to search the store in Origin for Sims 4 and install. Afterwards, you'll have Sims 4 in your Origin library twice: the Steam version and the non-Steam version.
I try to download sims 4 for Mac. I chose it and added to the library, then opened in the library, but I still don't see any sign of download button ? I have reloaded Origin, but that doesn't help, I still have the same problem. I can see only information about the game, and that's all. I see Steam button, but it's impossible to get the sims from steam, isn't it? Why there is no ability to download the game?
So I have had Sims 4 for a while on Windows from Steam, I just bought a MacBook and wanted to play sims on there but, it won't let me download it. It only shows the Steam logo, and when I go to "Get it for free" it says I have deluxe pack already and to go to my library when I do go to library it doesn't give me the option to download.
