Rudramadevi grows up as a boy under the guidance of Siva Devayya and her father. She learns the art of warfare, administration and diplomacy from a young age. She also befriends Chalukya Veerabhadra ( Rana Daggubati), the prince of Nidavardhya, who becomes her loyal ally and love interest. However, she faces many challenges and dangers from her enemies, who are unaware of her true identity.
One of her enemies is Gona Ganna Reddy ( Allu Arjun), a rebellious leader who operates from a forest base and opposes the Kakatiya rule. He often raids the Kakatiya territory and plunders its wealth. He also kidnaps Rudramadevi on one occasion, but later realizes that she is a woman and falls in love with her. He then becomes her supporter and helps her in fighting against the invaders.
The main threat to Rudramadevi's reign comes from the Devagiri Empire, led by Mahadeva Nayakudu ( Vikramjeet Virk), the grandson of Singhana ( Ajay). He invades the Kakatiya kingdom with a huge army and lays siege to its capital, Orugallu. Rudramadevi decides to face him in a decisive battle and reveals her true identity to her people. She inspires them with her courage and valour and leads them to victory against the Devagiri forces.
Rudramadevi is hailed as a great queen and a saviour of the Kakatiya dynasty by her subjects. She also marries Chalukya Veerabhadra and rules the kingdom with him as her co-regent. She is remembered as one of the most illustrious rulers of Indian history and a symbol of women empowerment.
