Check out this page about Windows. You may need to run compatibility troubleshooter and have Windows treat the driver as if it were installed on an older version. Windows has always been great about making older software remain compatible in new versions.

For what it is worth: Several years ago, when I replaced my failed Vista-32 system with a Vista-64 unit, I lost communications with my WK-3800, because Casio never wrote a Vista-64 driver for the WK-3XXX units. Several years later, when they did release the current Win-7/8 64 bit driver for the WK-3XXX models, I tried it on my Vista-64 system. It installed and ran just fine, and is still running just fine today - even though Casio still insists that it is not compatible with Vista-64. When I say "runs fine", that includes basic communications between the WK-3800 and the PC and the IDES Data Management software. Typically, Windows checks drivers for compatibility prior to installation, and if there is an issue, it will refuse to install them.

Hi there. Is there a driver available for the casio LK-100? I bought myself an audio interface and I've been meaning to record with it. I checked the Casio website but couldn't find it. Thanks in advance

Casio drivers are for older models with a USB MIDI port. The LK-100 does not have a USB MIDI port, so it does not need any drivers. Your audio interface manufacturer should tell you if that device needs a driver or not. That won't be related to Casio in any way.

The WK-110 is an older keyboard that is NOT USB-MIDI Class Compliant, so it will NOT work with the driver that is "built-in" to Windows and MAC-OS. You will need to install the driver described by Brad in the above discussions. It "SHOULD" work with Windows-10, but you may need to resort to installing it in a Windows-10 "compatibility mode" for older Windows versions, also described above by Brad. For certain, if you still have the original CD ROM that came with the WK-110, do not bother trying to install that driver. Windows-10 will not install it.

I have an LK-300tv and am trying to connect it to an asus tablet pw. When trying to install this driver I have compatibility issues. My asus is a windows 7 but was updated to the latest windws10. Am Itrying to install the wrong driver or is this just not compatible with anything because my keyboard is 10 years old?

I just bought a CT-S100 - I have connected it to my Laptop (Windows 10) but it has not registered the keyboard at all. I have tried to install the driver software above but it still isn't recognising the keyboard. My laptop is brand new and the USB port works fine, so if anyone could help that'd be great.

Just wondering if there is any way to use the keyboard as a controller since midi control is advertised with the model. I love some of the sounds preloaded, which i can record regardless, but being able to use the keyboard as a midi device would be fantastic.

I asked this in an Apple forum and it was not received very well. I have a Casio CTK-4200 Electric piano/keyboard and want to connect it via MIDI to my MacBook Pro. I know Casio does not make a Mac driver but I really want this to work, as I had the keyboard before the MacBook. I repeat: I know there is no formal driver from Casio for Mac, I am trying to hack a fix to this. There was a post in 2007 where someone with the username ferland.francois posted a custom driver for Casio for Mac which seems to have worked in 2007. I downloaded it and restarted my MacBook. I can find the driver in my audio drivers file but the keyboard does not show up in the Audio MIDI Setup application when I plug in the keyboard. I downloaded USBProber and the keyboard does show up there as a device "CASIO USB-MIDI" on the port it is connected to.

Is there anything I am missing to make this driver work? Can anyone help me fix the driver (I have Computer Science knowledge but no knowledge of drivers)? At the very least is there anyone who can help me find ferland.francois? He hasn't updated on softpedia since 2013. I appreciate any help (or even a redirect to a different subreddit)!

I am trying to understand how far this keyboard can go as a midi controller. It of course sends out key messages and I also see messages from the two controller wheels. But I am wondering if there are any messages from any of the buttons on the device. Its a touchscreen so I am not sure whether these buttons can function to send midi messages. Specifically, I want a button to change the Leslie speed on an organ VST.

I also have this keyboard. I was disapointed with the onboard sounds of piano, so i use it as a midi keyboard to play Piano. I find I can overplay, as its dynamic range is lacking. I found out after purchase (Casio dont give you info on the keybed like other manufacturers) that its only a dual sensor in combination with software, which for its own onboard sounds gives you more control, but not for midi out signals. So I'm thinking a triple sensor midi keyboard may give me more dynamic range and lesson the rsi im getting in my fingers from playing the pxs 3000.

Recommendation: If you are a novice computer user with no experience updating drivers, we recommend using DriverDoc [Download DriverDoc - Product by Solvusoft] to help you update your Casio Music Keyboard driver. Our driver update utility does all of the work by downloading and updating the correct CTK-720 drivers automatically.

When you use a driver updater such as DriverDoc, not only does it update your Music Keyboard drivers, but it also keeps the rest of your PC drivers updated as well. With a database of over 2,150,000 drivers (updated daily), you can rest assured your hardware is covered.

CTK-720 errors can be related to corrupt or outdated device drivers. PC drivers can become problematic without any obvious cause. The excellent thing is that even though your Music Keyboard problem persists, you can fix it by installing the updated driver.

It is often hard to find a right solution to a CTK-720 hardware-related error by visiting Casio's website. You might be a PC veteran, but locating, installing, and manually upgrading CTK-720 drivers can still take a long time and totally frustrate you. Installing the wrong driver, or simply an incompatible version of the right driver, can make your problems even worse.

For the time and effort involved in the driver update process, we highly suggest using driver utility software. These updating applications allows you to maintain the latest version of the drivers you need and generates a backup of your current drivers before installing a new ones. Maintaining a driver backup provides you with the security of knowing that you can rollback any driver to a previous version (if necessary).

Hi there and welcome to the Casio forums. From my research, Casio doesn't support Mac drivers for this model . There is a third party driver that may help you out. Note: This is not an official driver so use at your own risk:

The driver installation instructions, posted on the above site from aidendude, state that it is compatible with OS X 10.7 (Lion) through OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may not work with the newer OS X 10..12 (Sierra), but it is certainly well worth a try.

The Casio CTK-720 portable keyboard includes everything you need to compose your own musical masterpieces. Use the USB port on the CTK-720 control MIDI functions with the keyboard on your computer. To access the MIDI functions of the keyboard, you must install the drivers for the CTK-720 to your operating system. Drivers are small utilities that allow your computer and a piece of hardware to communicate.

Click "OK" in the window that appears and click "Run" to install the drivers for the CTK-720 to your operating system. Connect the keyboard with a USB cable to one of the ports on your computer to control the functions of music recording software with the CTK-720.

The Casio CTK-720 is a legacy synthesizer manufactured by Casio until the early 2000s. Although outdated, some CTK-720s are still available for sale new in the box at a few locations. Primarily intended for use as a stand-alone synthesizer, Casio included basic MIDI functionality that makes it possible to use the CTK-720 as a MIDI controller. Getting the CTK-720's MIDI functions to work on today's computers requires that a generic USB-to-MIDI driver, provided by Casio, be installed on your system.

Download and install the general USB-MIDI Driver from Casio's website. This driver is compatible with all versions of Windows up to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Follow the instructions included with the download.

This project provides a simple Mac OS X driver for a USB MIDI interface found on Casio keyboards. This is entirely based on the Sample USBMIDI Driver provided by Apple with the CoreAudio SDK. To install the driver, simply double-click on the package. It will install for all users on your machine.
