NEW YORK: The Shevchenko Scientific Society invites all to a lecture “110th Anniversary of Petro Grigorenko's Birth: Celebrations in Today's Ukraine,” by Andrew Grigorenko (New York). General Petro Grigorenko (1907-1987), was a high-ranking Soviet Army commander of Ukrainian descent, who in his fifties became a dissident, a writer and one of the architects of the human-rights movement in the Soviet Union.
