[Another "no-school Monday" is finally over, as if just having two weeks off for Christmas Break isn’t enough vacation.]
A mother went in to waken her son, saying "Get up, it's time for school."
"But why, Mom? I don't want to go."
His mother replied, "Give me two good reasons why you shouldn't go to school and I'll let you stay home.
"Well, the principal hates me and calls me into his office to yell at me. And the kids make fun of me and tease me and throw things at me."
"Oh, those are good enough reasons to stay home", mother coaxed, at the same time pulling the covers off his bed.
"Okay", said the son, "Give me two reasons why I SHOULD go to school."
"Well, for one thing, you're 47 years old. And for another, you're the only 6th grade teacher at the school."
