In our shop, our clerk asked the customer, "Cash, check or charge?" after adding up her purchase.
The woman fumbled through her purse, pulling out its contents in search of her credit card. Included were a wallet, compact, glasses and a television remote control.
The clerk just had to ask her, "Do you always carry your TV remote when you go shopping?"
"No," she replied. "But my husband refused to come shopping with me, so I figured this was the best way to get even with him!"
