What is usually “supper time” at your house? (We only have “dinner” on Sunday 1:00 pm after church; our routine is breakfast, lunch, supper during the week)
Because of my wife’s late work in her clinic, we fell into a routine of dinner at 7:30 each evening. Now, in retirement when “schedule” is non-existent, we’ve adopted 7:00 pm Supper. (9 am Breakfast, 2 pm Lunch, 11 pm ice cream)
Whether you call the main meal “supper” (like normal people) or “dinner” (like foreigners or high society) 😊 what country are YOU like in your evening meal habits?
4:00-5:00 pm = Norway
4:30-5:30 pm = Finland
5:00-6:00 pm = Sweden
5:30-6:30 pm = Denmark, Netherlands
6:00-7:00 pm = Germany, Austria, Estonia
6:30-7:30 pm = Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium
7:00-8:00 pm = Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech, Switzerland, Lithuania, Latvia
7:30-8:30 pm = France, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria,
8:00-9:00 pm = Italy
8:30-9:30 pm = Greece, Macedonia
9:00-10:00 pm = Portugal
9:30-10:30 pm = Spain
Never realized meal times were more “latitude”-oriented. Earlier or later, north to south.
