Let's see if I understand how America works lately . . .
If you burn your thighs on hot coffee you’re holding in your lap while driving, you blame the restaurant.
If your teen-age son kills himself, you blame some rock 'n' roll musician or movie star or his friends for not sending enough supportive text messages.
If you smoke three packs a day for 40 years and die of lung cancer, your family blames the tobacco company.
If your daughter gets pregnant by the football captain, you blame the school for poor sex education and not giving out free condoms.
If you see more of your racial ethnicity arrested or in prison than others, you blame the police and start assassinating them in their car.
If your neighbor crashes into a tree while driving home drunk, you blame the bartender.
If your cousin gets AIDS because the needle he used to shoot up with heroin was dirty, you blame the government for not providing clean ones.
If your grandchildren are brats without manners, you blame television.
If your city is burned by riots and Moslems cut off heads of those who will not convert, you blame Christians for somehow offending them.
If your friend is shot by a criminal or deranged madman, you blame the gun manufacturer.
If a crazed person climbs into the cockpit of an airliner and tries to kill the pilot and the passengers kill him instead, his mother blames the airline.
If your party loses an election, you do everything you can to stop any progress of needed legislation and, of course, you blame the Russians.
I must have lived too long to understand the world anymore. So if I die while parked in front of my computer sending out the grif net blog, I want you to blame Bill Gates, OK?
