A young minister, in the first week of his first parish, was called to do the funeral for an eccentric man who had just died. As he prepared for the funeral, he stood before the open casket and consoled the widow.
He didn’t know exactly what to say, but he tried. "I know this must be a very hard blow, Ma’am. Everyone said your husband was a good man and always had funny stories or jokes to tell.
But we must remember that what we see here is not him. It is just the husk, only the shell here in the casket -- the real nut has gone to heaven."
