As we were reading last night, I asked my wife if she was enjoying the library book we’d picked up.

“Oh, yes, dear!” was her enthusiastic reply.

 

“What’s it about?” I wondered aloud.

 

“It is a wonderful novel about a woman my age who has been married for nearly fifty years. It is a story full of true love, continued romance, and deepest passion.”

 

I smiled to myself, as I thought of our relationship, but that quickly faded as she added with a sigh, “It’s a nice escape from reality.”
