With Russians unhappy with the war in Ukraine, President Putin was being held hostage by a military leader. A Russian truckdriver stopped at the back of a long queue on the motorway. He saw a policeman walking down the line of stopped cars to briefly talk to the drivers. He rolled down his window and asked, "What's going on?"

The policeman replied, "Some fellow is holding Putin hostage in a car. He's demanding 10 million rubles, or he'll douse the President in petrol and set him on fire. I’m going to all the drivers to ask for donations."

The trucker understood and wanted to cooperate.  "Oh, ok. How much do people donate on average?"

The policeman quickly answered: "About a gallon."
