On Armistice Day, we remember.

Remembrance honors those, the veterans who served to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life.

Remembrance unites across faiths, cultures and backgrounds to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces against tyranny and hate.

Remembrance also acknowledges innocent civilians who have lost their lives in conflict and acts of terrorism.

Remembrance does not glorify war and its symbol, the red poppy, is a sign of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.

Remembrance is a deeply personal and yet all-encompassing emotion.

The Exhortation:
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

The Epitaph:

“When you go home, tell them of us and say,
For your tomorrow, we gave our today.”

Remembrance honors the memory of those today, and pledges care for the living.

We will remember them.
