[More odd facts we don’t usually think about concerning our own bodies]
1. The average heart beats 100,000 times per day. Mine has been beating 2,628,000,000. So far, so good.
2. The lifespan of an eyelash is about 5 months.
3. If allowed to grow, a nose hair would be over 6 feet long in a lifetime. Do not try this at home.
4. The longest bone in a body is the femur (about 18”); the shortest is the stapes (1/10 of an inch).
5. Any taste bud has just about a 10-day lifespan.
6. You brain uses 20% of the oxygen in your blood. Obviously less in some of my friends.
7. The surface area of a human lung is roughly the same size as a tennis court.
8. A baby in the womb has distinct individual finger prints at 90 days.
9. The average weight of cremains of a human is about 9 pounds.
10. The average number of hairs on the head is 100,000.
