The most unique tea I ever had was in the little town of Mercy, Australia, in the Outback near Ayers Rock. The café said they would make tea out of anything we ask for; if they can’t, then lunch is free. Sounded like a challenge.
I asked if I could have tea made from the koala bear. The waitress didn’t even blink. In a few minutes she returned with a cuppa, overflowing with koala bear. I look at it and saw an eyeball floating, chunks of hair, and horrific smell. It made me sick just looking at it, so had to ask, “Why didn’t the cook remove animal parts and fur from the tea before sending it out?”
She simply replied, “The koala tea of Mercy is not strained.”
