[Long day yesterday at the polls as a precinct judge. Not a great turnout and some of my friends failed in their bids. Wyoming is 75% republican, so the primary in many cases is THE real race. Most offices are unopposed, with no democrat running.  And yes, I was elected precinct-man for another 2-year term representing my district for the county caucuses and convention.  I think it good to have a minister like me pushing some of the “planks” of moral issues taught in the Word.]

 

Had three entries for the worst word play or pun of the month:

 

What do you call an engagement ring swallowed by your dog?

A diamond in the ruff.

 

Remember the immortal words of Eve, when she gave the forbidden fruit to Adam.

“You eat it because I said to eat it!  Remember who’s wearing the plants in this family.”

 

An Indian on the reservation visited his psychiatrist and said he was having terrible dreams. One night he was a teepee, the next a wigwam. Then back to a teepee, then a wigwam.

His doctor simply said such dreams were not unusual for someone who was two tents.
