Not too bad weather this vacation on the Coast. We were gone a week and it
only rained twice.

First time was for 4 days and second time was for 3 days.

Since I was driving on the LA freeways, I wanted a reliable rental car and
one that could safely carry a number of boxes.

The clerk, whose grasp of English was as suspect as his Green Card,
suggested that rather than get a sedan with a large trunk I get a stationary
wagon.

Stationary wagon. Figured she knew the traffic on the 405 better than I did
. . . Can anyone say "Carmageddon"?
