[Teaching college had students asking many questions, most unrelated to the classroom.  Here are some of my favorites]

 

Q. Dr Bob, why are there pyramids in Egypt?

A. They were too heavy to steal and take to a British museum

 

Q. Dr Bob, what rhymes with orange?

A. No, it doesn’t.

 

Q. Dr Bob, in astronomy class you mentioned E.T.  What is E.T. short for?

A. He’s got little legs.

 

Q. Dr Bob, why do you squat down, tuck your knees into your chest, and lean forward when you exercise?
A. That’s just how I roll.

 

Q. Dr Bob, why does a slice of Key Lime Pie cost $3 in Key West, $2.50 in Puerto Rico, and $3.50 in Grand Cayman?

A. Those are the pie rates of the Caribbean.

 

Q. Dr Bob, what can we do to get rid of dead batteries?

A. Just give them away free of charge.

 

Q. Dr Bob, what’s the best thing about Switzerland?

A. Well, its flag is a big plus.

 

Q. Dr Bob, everyone talks of differences between apples and oranges. What do they have in common?

A. Neither apples nor oranges can drive.

 

Q. Dr Bob, are any insects intelligent?

A. The smartest is the spelling bee.

 

Q. Dr Bob, what book did you read in school that caused you to cry?

A. Algebra 1
