Griffith hanging up and not downloading from IMDb (Ubuntu)

Griffith does not work at all it hangs up and it does not want to download info from IMDb. When I installed from the command line I got the following error message:
/usr/share/menu/downverter.menu: 1: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
Setting up griffith (0.12.1-1) ...
Processing triggers for menu ...
/usr/share/menu/downverter.menu: 1: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
I opened the file downverter.menu with geany , the first line is, ?package(downverter):needs="x11" \
Can someone help please I don't know how to fix this.
