Dear Frank, dear list members,

for submitting grid jobs using gc on the ekpcms6 I am:

- getting a VOMS-Proxy executing: voms-proxy-init --voms cms:/cms/dcms --valid 192:00
-sourcing a grid environment (for lcg-cp and job submitting): source /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch/emi-wn-3.7.3-1_sl6v2/etc/profile.d/setup-emi3-wn-example.sh
- copying a working glitewms.info (see attached file) into the working directory.

Let me know if this should not work for you.

Kind regards
Benjamin

The trick is to use use either
*) a working "glitewms.info" and using "[wms] discover wms = True"
or
*) use a wms config with a working WMS server

Unfortunately, none of the UI default configs (on CVMFS/AFS) seem to
point to a working WMS.

(Everything I said concerns the stable-fixes branch)...

Cheers,
Fred

Thank you, Benjamin!
Using that grid environment the transfer of the sandbox seems to actually work, I think combined with stable-fixes that is everything we need. Though I now also have a promising setup on the NAF that I don't want to interfere with, so I haven't actually submitted jobs that way yet.

Cheers,
Frank
