Errors while trying to run on the grid

Hello

Due to recent problems in DESY BIRD, I was trying to submit jobs using the grid. However, all of my jobs fail with the following message


All logfiles were moved to /nfs/dust/cms/user/alkaloge/tools/grid-jobs/work.gc_Data_MiniAODv2_80x_grid/error.tar
2016-12-05 01:00:07 - Job 706 state changed from INIT to FAILED
2016-12-05 01:00:08 - WARNING: glite-wms-job-submit failed with code 256
2016-12-05 01:00:08 -


Opening one of the stderr files I see this

"Error - Operation failed
Unable to find any endpoint where to perform service request


Possible Errors and Debug messages have been printed in the following file:
/tmp/tmpe5giWX.log"


You can find my config under this path

/nfs/dust/cms/user/alkaloge/TauAnalysis/new/new/CMSSW_8_0_20/src/DesyTauAnalyses/NTupleMaker/test/gc_Data80X_grid.config

Could you please advise me what to do here ?

Hi,

the grid submission via glite does not work anymore, since the CMS glite servers were switched off.

You can submit to selected grid sites directly via the CREAMCE backend, but you need their CE URL (Which can be found with "lcg-infosites ce").

If you want to submit to the CMS resources on the grid, you need to sign up to "CMS connect" and use some experimental patches at the moment.
