Gene is a simple animal and plant simulation that illustrates
population dynamics. Several graphs and statistics are maintained.
Highly configurable; configuration files are stored as readable XML.

Sure. Let me get some notes together.

Just released v5.0.1, which fixes a couple of bugs and adds a couple
of options. The wiki has been updated. It should be possible for
anyone to post a comment to report bugs or ask questions.
