Single versus double quotes

I could not find an explanation in the documentation what the rules are for using single versus double quotes.  My sense is that they are interchangeable, in that I can use either ' or ".  But please if you can point me to where that has been documented, it would be great!

Thanks a lot Daniel!  Maybe there should be something about it in the Tinkerpop docs :-)  Maybe a Gremlin for non-groovy people - now I might not put it that way since most people may think they are pretty groovy :-)
