Hi everyone,

G.V() is nearing now nearing 2 years in development. Since November 2021 it's been available to download and use as an Open Beta version to gather feedback and feature requests.
It's been a lot of hard work to deliver what I hope can soon be considered a software worthy of an official "v1.0" release.
As previously announced in https://groups.google.com/g/gremlin-users/c/nh3YMXaNRUs, the Open Beta is eventually coming to an end and now has an actual date: 21st November 2022, a whole year after the G.V() launched.

With the end of the Open Beta, a few changes will be introduced to help support G.V() financially. The product will be split into two tiers, one free and one paid:
- G.V() Basic: The free version of G.V(). It includes unlimited use of all G.V() functionality apart from Query Debugging for all open source implementations of Apache TinkerPop (e.g. Gremlin Server, JanusGraph, ArcadeDB, etc) as well as Azure Cosmos DB Emulator, and G.V()'s own Playground.
- G.V() Pro: The paid version of G.V() that includes the full software capabilities for all non open-source Apache TinkerPop implementations (e.g. Amazon Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB, DataStax Enterprise Graph).

The G.V() Pro tier will also have a 2 months free trial that all users, both existing and new, will automatically get switched to at the end of the Open Beta. No details or sign up whatsoever will be required for this to come in effect and will happen seamlessly for users.
It will however require running the latest version of the software released just today, 0.9.27.
Older versions of G.V() will be phased out at the end of the open beta so please ensure that you update to v0.9.27 at minimum to continue using G.V() after the Open Beta end date.
If you have already installed G.V(), this means it will continue to be free until 21st January 2023. After that, depending on how you use G.V() you may or may not choose to upgrade to G.V() Pro.

More details regarding purchasing G.V() Pro are available at https://gdotv.com/buy, including a handy FAQ section.
I would like to stress you do not need to purchase G.V() Pro this year as it continues to be free until January 2023, but I appreciate it if you choose to anyway!

If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to reply here or email me at sup...@gdotv.com.

Cheers,
Arthur

P.S.: If you haven't used G.V() before, you can download and use it for free at https://gdotv.com!

Great work, Arthur - it's amazing what you managed to accomplish with G.V().
