Hello,

Due to the overhead of having to maintain Gremlin-Scala and for its lack of evolution, we have moved Gremlin-Scala to the Tinkubator.

Note, that you can successfully build the project from the Tinkubator.

While we plan to support more JVM languages, we will only do so if the there is consistent development on the port. As such, Gremlin is still packaged in the "language agnostic" manner with Gremlin-Groovy and Gremlin-Java being the two language deployed with Gremlin.

This update has been pushed to GitHub and deployed to Sonatype Maven repo. Finally, the Gremlin documentation has been updated to remove the Gremlin Scala references/instructions.

Apologies if this causes any problems for anyone using Gremlin Scala.

Good luck!,
Marko.

Hi there,
I made an attempt to port gremlin-scala to the blueprints 2.0 stack. I basically just converted the api usage and added the order step (see OrderStepTest).
All tests are green - I'll send you a pull request in a minute.
https://github.com/mpollmeier/tinkubator/tree/gremlin-scala-tinkerpop2.0

If you're happy just bump the version of to 2.1.0-SNAPSHOT.

Cheers
Michael

A thought about Tinkubator

Is it possible to make Tinkubator an Organization rather than one big project that contains many sub projects?
That way Tinkubated projects could retain their wikis and, generally, their identity.

The current all-projects-in-one-big-project feels more like the-place-projects-go-to-die, to me.

For what it's worth.

Hey,

How about this. Individual's who have their projects in Tinkubator make their own personal repositories, e.g.

...when the project is mature enough to be moved into TinkerPop Organization, it gets moved over .?

Marko.

Seems like a good idea to me!
