Hello everyone,

TinkerPop is happy to announce that Apache TinkerPop 3.0.0.M9-incubating is now released. We have gotten our Apache Software Foundation release pattern down pat and this release went through VOTE without a hitch.

Documentation
Distributions

We are happy to report that this is the last milestone release. The next official release will be GA and TinkerPop3 will be, after nearly 2 years of development, ready for the great wide world.

Thank you Apache mentors, committers, vendors, and users for all your support. Please enjoy the fruit your labors.

Take care,
Marko.

Congratulations Marko (and the team) on another great Milestone !!

Do you have a date in mind for when 1.0 might happen ?  -- I know, some people are never happy are they :-)

Cheers
Kelvin

This was a really great release as there was a lot of focus on testing and rounding out edges on various integration points which will hopefully pave the way for a smooth GA release.  Thanks to all involved.

Best regards,

Stephen

Hello Kelvin,

Thank you for the stoke.

@Everyone: Kelvin and his colleague Todd Moore are the people who got the ball rolling to get TinkerPop into the Apache Software Foundation.

@Kelvin: By "1.0," I suspect you mean TinkerPop3 GA?. If so, the plan is by the end of this month. Current development on master/ is primarily optimizations, testing, and documentation at this point. All of our GA tickets in JIRA were completed in the M9 release. As such, we hope to do 1 or 2 dev@ RC releases so the vendors can give the thumbs up and when they are happy --- release. Of course, the release process takes ~10 days to flow through the VOTE process.

HTH,
Marko.

Awesome, thanks Marko, and yes in my excitement at your news I typed 1.0 but meant Tinkerpop 3 GA :-)

BIG THANKS to all the TinkerPop contributors.

Can't wait for the GA and then the roll out of Titan 0.9 / 1.0
