Use of class {standalone}

Hello everyone,

Asking on behalf of Sr. Marie-Pauline from the Benedictines Servants of the Poor in Angers, France.

For scores that never fill a full line, the use of package {standalone} as part of a workflow that incorportates gregoriotex-produced scores into DTP software, could be interesting, in order to limit the page size to whatever is necessary to typeset the score (to illustrate this, change the maximum variable width in the attached MWE, and see how, if it is larger than the largest line in the score, i.e. the first one, then the output is limited to the width of this line, but not as a result of cropping - because the custos is still there.

However, on the latest version of Miktex on Windows, with gregoriotex 6.1.0, the initial is somehow omitted.

Does anyone know why?
