Increased Moderation

Due to the recent increased volume of spam to the mailing list, I have increased the level of moderation in the hopes of catching the spam before it reaches your inbox. I have stopped short of requiring moderation for all posts so posts from longstanding users are likely to be posted without delay, but new users will experience a significant delay in their posts appearing as they are reviewed. Hopefully this will be enough to stop the spam, but if it’s not, I will set the group to require moderation on all posts until the spam stops coming.

Additionally, I have banned the email addresses responsible for the recent bouts of spam and will continue to do so should more spam arise. I’m less hopeful that this will help, since each spate of spam has used a different email address, but I’m doing it anyway just in case.
