Hey all,

I have been using GregorioTex for a while, but I am not at all fond of the "rounded" shape that neumes have in its standard printing. I would much rather prefer the thick/square shape of the 1962 Roman Missal:

I tried to look for alternative fonts but with little success, likely because I am a noob. Can someone help me out?

Thank you so so much!

I don't know if other more "plainchant-ish" fonts exist, but you can create one using fontforge, I guess, basing youself on greciliae and removing all the round edges.

Matthias

To add to what Matthias said, this is possible and may be very welcome. The somewhat less round version of the missal is closer to the post Tridentine graduals but for chant books, something inspired by Dom Pothier’s drawings has been the default for over 125 years, hence the fonts with Gregorio (and for that matter the font commissioned by Le Barroux but whose license wouldn’t allow its distribution with LaTeX).
